Three NJU researchers win Xplorer Prize

On August 25, the winners of the 7th Science Xplorer Prize were officially announced. Professor Tan Hairen from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Professor Huang Xin from the School of Atmospheric Sciences, and Associate Professor Huang Xiaoqiang from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Nanjing University were among the winners.

The Xplorer Prize was established in 2018. It is an award funded by the New Cornerstone Science Foundation and led by scientists. It covers ten fields of basic science and cutting-edge technology, supporting young scientists working full-time in mainland China and Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR. Each winner will receive a total of 3 million RMB in prize money over five years.The prize adheres to the principle of "looking to the future, rewarding potential, and stimulating exploration",  encouraging young scientists and engineers to focus solely on exploring the "uncharted territories" of science.
