On the afternoon of June 5, the Fifth Interdisciplinary Innovation Forum for Doctoral Students was held simultaneously at Nanjing University's Xianlin and Suzhou campuses.
Centered on the theme "AI Empowering New-quality Development, Innovation Leading the Frontier," the forum was jointly hosted by the Student Affairs Office of NJU CPC Council, the Graduate School, and the Nanjing University–China Mobile Joint Research Institute. For the first time, the event was conducted across two cities with four parallel sub-forums, drawing the participation of more than 300 faculty members and students from within and outside the university and receiving 137 academic submissions from doctoral students.
The forum focused on the AI-driven trends of digitalization, greenization, and intelligentization, aiming to promote deep integration and interdisciplinary innovationacross various academic fields. Covering cutting-edge fields including philosophy and social sciences, earth system science, fundamental sciences and engineering, and intelligent technologies, the forum explored practical pathways for integrating AI with various disciplines.
Since its inception in 2020, the Interdisciplinary Innovation Forum for Doctoral Students has become a signature event of NJU's Graduate Academic and Technology Festival. It serves as a vital platform for fostering academic exchange among doctoral students, enhancing research collaboration, and supporting national strategic needs.
