On the morning of June 20, the Twelfth Congress of the Communist Party of China at Nanjing University completed all its agendas and concluded on Xianlin campus.

At 9:30 a.m., the Twelfth Congress of the Communist Party of China at Nanjing University held its second plenary session and closing meeting, presided over by Tan Zhemin.

The congress voted to approve the "Election Methods for the Twelfth Congress of the Communist Party of China at Nanjing University," along with the list of chief scrutineers, scrutineers, and tellers. Under the supervision of the chief scrutineer and scrutineers, the congress elected the Twelfth Committee of the Communist Party of China at Nanjing University and the Twelfth Discipline Inspection Commission of the Communist Party of China at Nanjing University. 

The congress passed resolutions on the report of the CPC Nanjing University Committee and the report of the CPC Nanjing University Discipline Inspection Commission. The congress fully affirmed the work of the previous committee, reviewed the achievements and experiences of the past five years, analyzed the historical mission and challenges the university faces, and clarified the overall strategy, development goals, and key tasks for the next five years.

The congress calls on all Party organizations and Party members at NJU, faculty and students to closely unite around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, firmly grasp the political, people-centered, and strategic attributes of education, and maintain the spirit of exploration, creativity, and hard work. Through continuous reform and innovation, accelerate the construction of a world-class Nanjing University with Chinese characteristics.

Tan Tieniu delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitudes on behalf of the presidium to the superior party organization, all delegates, and conference staff. He pointed out that this forward-looking congress will have a significant and far-reaching impact on the development of the university's undertakings. The blueprint for the next five years has been drawn, and all faculty and students should unite and move forward bravely, turning the grand blueprint into practical actions of building a world-class Nanjing University with Chinese characteristics. Tan Tieniu emphasized that to better implement the spirit of this congress, it is necessary to deepen the comprehensive leadership of the party and solidify the political foundation for continuous advancement. It is important to lead our academic style and faculty's ethics with excellent working style of the Party and the leadership of NJU,  and provide strong support for the construction of a world-class Nanjing University with Chinese characteristics. It is essential to focus on reform and development goals and tasks to promote high-quality development of the university's undertakings. It is vital to strengthen top-level design, adhere to open education, and practice a student-centered development philosophy, ensuring steady progress on the path of high-quality development. All members of NJU should thoroughly learn and propagate the spirit of the congress, and transform the goals and tasks set by the congress into the common pursuit and conscious actions of the entire university.

Tan Tieniu calls on all members of Nanjing University to unite more closely around the Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the second and third plenary sessions of the 20th Central Committee, fully implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and the decisions of this congress. He appeal to all members of NJU to further advance the "Forging Ahead Initiative" and fulfill the goals set by the congress, thus accelerating the construction of a strong education nation, and comprehensively advancing the great cause of national rejuvenation through Chinese-style modernization.

The congress concluded with the solemn sound of "The Internationale", marking the success completion of the Twelfth Congress of the Communist Party of China at Nanjing University.
