He pointed out that the library renovation must be completed according to the established plan to ensure it can be put into use promptly in the new semester, providing solid support for teachers and students.
At Nanyuan Dormitory 2, 2024 undergraduate students from Kaijia College were busy packing their luggage. Tan Tieniu inquired with concern about the students' moving plans and reminded them to act within their capabilities when carrying heavy objects and to pay attention to safety.

Nanyuan Dormitory 11 underwent upgrades during the summer break. Tan Tieniu inspected the renovation and provided specific improvement suggestions for existing issues. He emphasized that before students move in, each dormitory room's furniture and air conditioning must be checked one by one to ensure all equipment functions properly.
"You are the parents of these students on campus", Tan Tieniu expressed gratitude to the dormitory management staff for their hard work, hoping they would treat students as their own family members and give more care to them.
Tan Tieniu gained an in-depth understanding of the renovation progress of the First Canteen and the dining situation of teachers and students at the Second Canteen. He emphasized the need to continuously strengthen food safety and hygiene management, strictly control every detail of food processing and tableware disinfection, clean tables promptly during meal times, and always provide a clean and comfortable dining environment for teachers and students.

During his visit, Tan Tieniu inspected arrangements for welcoming new students, campus culture construction, entrance management, infrastructure usage, and other related situations. He pointed out the need to further optimize the content design of road flags, banners, and display windows, and enhance the welcoming atmosphere in areas such as canteens, dormitories, and main campus roads. During new student registration, he emphasized the need to increase campus and surrounding patrol efforts, add drinking water stations and temporary tables and chairs in front of each dormitory building, and have the campus hospital prepare contingency plans and stock up on common medications in advance, comprehensively safeguarding the welcome of the class of 2025. Tan Tieniu stressed that the welcoming work should be student-centered and coordinated across all four campuses, to reassure parents who are sending their children to university, help new students quickly adapt to college life, and let returning students feel the new atmosphere on campus.
University Party Committee Member, Assistant President, and Director of the General Office Li Bin, along with heads of the Party Committee's Student Affairs Department and the College of First-Year Students, accompanied the inspection.
