Eco-Environment & Health receives its first JIF of 17.6

According to the latest Journal Citation Reports? (JCR) released by Clarivate on June 18, 2025, the English language journal Eco-Environment & Health (EEH) has received its first Journal Impact Factor (JIF) of 17.6. Launched jointly by the School of Environment of Nanjing University and the Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, EEH now ranks 8th out of 374 journals in the "Environmental Sciences" category, placing it in the top 2.1% (Q1 quartile).

About Eco-Environment & Health (EEH)

Eco-Environment & Health (EEH) was established in December 2021 through a collaboration between the School of Environment of Nanjing University and the Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. The journal is co-edited by Academician Guibin Jiang and Academician Hongqiang Ren.

Eco-Environment & Health (EEH) is an international and multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal designed for publications on the frontiers of the ecology, environment and health as well as their related disciplines. EEH focuses on the concept of "One Health" to promote green and sustainable development, dealing with the interactions among ecology, environment and health, and the underlying mechanisms and interventions. EEH covers a variety of research areas, including but not limited to ecology and biodiversity conservation, environmental behaviors and bioprocesses of emerging contaminants, human exposure and health effects, and evaluation, management and regulation of environmental risks.

In 2024, EEH was selected as one of the "High-Starting Point New Journals" under both the 2024 China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan and the 2024 Jiangsu Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan.

Since its inception, EEH has been rapidly indexed in 14 international databases, including ESCI, Scopus, PubMed Central (PMC), and DOAJ. According to Scopus, the journal achieved a 2024 CiteScore of 16.4, and its 2025 CiteScoreTracker has already reached 20.7 (as of August 2025).
